A Half a Million Words Later

You are currently reading my 500th blog! If you’ve read them all over the last two years and some change, THANK YOU! If you are just joining today, THANK YOU! It doesn’t matter when you got here, I’m just glad you made it.

As of today, I’ve written around half a million words. Which essentially could equal at least 3 decent sized novels. Maybe when I’m dead and gone all these words will serve as some sort of entertainment for the ages. Only time will tell and I won’t be around to watch so it doesn’t even matter. But don’t worry. The blog will probably be millions of words in by the time I kick the bucket. I read a story today about a guy who lived to be over 200 years old. That’s my new life goal.

Blogging is hard work. Especially when you tell yourself you are going to do it every day. And especially when you’ve been blogging for years and you go back and read the blogs you’ve written that were on the side of ridiculous. Or the ones about sex that you wish never happened. Sure, I could delete them, but I’d be deleting history. It’s not like I can unfuck someone or unsay words that I wished I’d never uttered. All I can do is learn from them, which I try to do.

I’ve actually written a lot more words than half a million. That’s just on this blog. I had a blog on blogger years ago for a while. I wasn’t near as consistent as I am these days. Or at least as consistent as I try to be.

I feel like I should have some sort of party or give something away for this milestone. But at the moment, I have nothing to give but my love and gratitude.

So I will keep this short by saying, thank you for coming by daily to see what shenanigans I’ve gotten into or out of. I hope to share many more days with you. And I look forward to hearing about your own days.

My inbox is always open for genuine conversation. And my schedule is always open for a chai tea in person.

See you tomorrow! (God Willing)
